What I do

I make television work on both sides of the camera. Since 2019 I’ve coordinated direction and production on Gulf drama series and commercials: rewriting scripts to production standard, scheduling shoots, making the calls on costume, sets, camera and character, preparing actors, running the floor as assistant director, and seeing the episodes through the edit, the effects and the music.

On my latest series I did all of it at once: assistant director, line producer, assistant editor and VFX supervisor on a 30-episode crime drama that aired across the Gulf in Ramadan 2026.

Hayat, buried in debt and about to lose her home, is offered a fortune to kill another woman’s husband. When a murder follows, she becomes the suspect, and a detective takes on the hardest case of his career, in a 1990s Kuwait with no phone records and no digital evidence.

  • Production

    Assistant Director

Running the floor for the director: breaking down scenes, calling the day, keeping cast and crew moving to schedule.

  • Production

    Line Producer

The day-to-day logistics of the shoot: schedules, resources and coordination between departments.

  • Post

    Assistant Editor

Supporting the edit as episodes came together for broadcast.

  • Post

    VFX Supervisor

Supervising the visual effects work across the series.

A story set in the 1990s has to hide the 2020s in every frame: the cars, the signs, the phone in a background actor’s pocket. That pressure touches the schedule, the locations, the art department and the effects pass at once, which is why it helps when the same person is on set and in post.

Production and direction team: coordination, script, scheduling and post

Adapted from a novel by Laila Al-Othman: three women in three eras of Kuwait, from the 1940s to the 2020s, each reaching for a love their world forbids. Three periods in five episodes meant three looks for wardrobe, sets and grade, kept distinct but woven into one story.

A Kuwaiti family drama set in the country’s “golden era”: a tender mother, the gap between generations, and Kuwait’s ties with the people who came to live and work there. Shooting was halted by the 2020 lockdown and finished in three stages; the cast includes Jassim Al-Nabhan, Zahra Al-Kharji and Hamad Al-Omani.
